Orange County to use federal stimulus funds to boost local economy, help businesses and more

Orange County will use its latest federal Covid-19 stimulus funds to support local businesses and boost the region’s economy.

The county expects to get roughly $272 million from the recently approved American Rescue Plan, the $1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus bill that President Joe Biden signed into law March 11. The county’s use of those funds will be part of a broader strategy to stimulate the local economy, said Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings during a March 15 press briefing.
