Orange County to help area businesses with about a quarter of its newest federal funds

Orange County will spend roughly a quarter of its funds allocated by the American Rescue Plan bill to support local businesses and boost the region’s economy.

The county will get more than $270.6 million from the new federal stimulus package, said Darren Gray, deputy county administrator, during a May 11 Orange County Commission meeting. That total will be paid out over two separate periods, with each representing more $135 million.
