Academy of Construction Technologies director discusses need for labor

Nancy Merced knows there’s a big need for labor in Orlando’s construction industry.

The executive director of Orlando’s Academy of Construction Technologies works with high schools in Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties to expose teenagers to the construction field. Students are trained to work in various trades including carpentry, electrical and air conditioning.
